How to get PR-ready for the Autumn

Autumn is a time for restarting and resetting. Back to work, back to school, and back to strategy!

Christmas Gift Guides
Editors have already begun planning Christmas gift guides, so if you own a product-based business you'll be wanting to reach out with your press kits to the relevant long-lead magazines now. There's a little less pressure to contact the shorter lead and online press, but you'll be savvy to start early as poss.

Weather watch
The weather is set to change over the next couple of months, does this effect your product or service focus? Does it mean bringing new products to the forefront or moving an outdoor/IRL service indoors/online? Make sure updates or changes are communicated to your audience in good time.

Quarter 4
There can be a bit of a panic as we near Q4 to end the year on a high, and that can bring about 'panic PR'. Stick to your strategy and see it through. PR doesn't usually change things overnight and putting pressure on yourself to deliver mega fast results is going to get overwhelming.

Key dates
How does your business celebrate key event dates, such as Halloween, Oktoberfest, or Bonfire Night? Generate ideas, and plan your content and activity in advance.

Changing habits
New boxsets land on Netflix, Strictly starts, new films hit the cinema, less eating out, how do your audience's habits change in the Autumn, and how can you react to this?
