How Do I Know If PR is Working for Me?

It can often feel like you're throwing everything at it, but nothing sticking.. PR is a long game. It can take time to see the results of your hard work. Here are some ways of tracking your progress to check things are moving in the right direction.

  1. Trackable Links - Whether via your owned media such as newsletters or blogs or in articles and interviews, by using trackable links you can assess what your audience wants to see more of and tailor your PR efforts for better results.

  2. Website Traffic and Analytics - Check your analytics to see where new visitors are visiting from. You can then see which PR opps have led directly to new eyes on your biz / sales / clients.

  3. Google Alerts - Use Google Alerts to keep track of where your biz is being mentioned. Writers can’t always let you know when they’ve featured you, so track yourself.

  4. Use Call-To-Actions - Always include your preferred social channel in your call to actions. If a writer is happy to include a link back to you and you’re trying to grow your Instagram page, ensure you supply that particular link.
